Who We Are
GovFin was founded by a group of tech and data geeks with a huge passion for leveling playing fields. We are data scientists, user experience experts, software engineers, and policy analysts. We come from corporate enterprises, state and local government, tech startups, advocacy, and beyond. Our founders met while working on a civic tech project focused on aggregating and normalizing data for every political office in the United States. That project led to conversations, and those conversations eventually found a singular thesis.

Thomas Rowley is a Creative Director, UX/UI Designer, Research Specialist, and Brand Strategist. Throughout his professional journey, he has had the privilege of working with esteemed companies like NASA, Progressive Insurance, GE, Navigate360, and many others. With a passion for all things creative, his personal mantra has always been “Changing the World, One Pixel At A Time.”

Jonah is dedicated to the discovery. He’s passionate about building to enable others, excited about the caveats and developing unexpected solutions. With previous products spanning bespoke software to handbags, he brings a unique product perspectiveand is determined to refactor his way to clear, genuinely accessible public data.
